I’ve been using the Submit Your Article service for a number of years now and I can easily say that this is my number one technique for building baclinks with as little fuss and effort as possible. If an article submission service is something that you have been considering, read my Submit Your Article Review to learn more about it and see if it is something that could be helpful for your own website promotion. You’ll find an explanation of what the service is, how to benefit from it, how to use it and a little bit about the results I’ve had from it.

What is it?

Submit Your Article is an article submission service. You pay a monthly membership fee to use their service and in return you have unlimited access to their article submission system, which allows you to:

• Submit your article automatically to article directories
• Send your artice automatically to interested publishers
• Post your article automatically on related blogs
• Create unique versions of your article by interchanging titles, sentences, paragraphs and resource boxes
• Gradually submit your article over a period of up to 30 days
• Set the start date of your article submission to any date in the future

In addition to this, all articles are reviewed before the submission starts so if you inadvertantly include a few typos your article this will be caught at the editing stage.

How do I use it?

Submitting an article takes less than 5 minutes + an additional 15-20 minutes if you want to create multiple unique versions of your article by using their article leverage system.

Regardless of which method you use the first step is to login to your account and enter your article. You’ll see a form and all you need to do is enter your article title, unformatted body, text resource box, HTML resource box, short description, keywords and category. Just enter all the information and hit the preview button and you are done. You can then submit your article for distribution. If you have already written your article this step should take you less than 5 minutes and you can stop here if you wish.

What is Article Leverage?

Before I explain what this is, it is worth a brief explanation of why it is good to distribute unique versions of your articles. If you submit the same version of your article to lots of directories there is a good chance that Google and other search engines will not index every single version of your article. You may have heard of something called “Duplicate Content Filtering” (often wrongly referred to as Duplicate content penalty). Google doesn’t want to display hundreds of copies of the exact same content to everyone when they search, so it may filter (not show) a subset of the pages with your article on it. This may also meant that the backlink in your author resource box on these pages does not benefit you.

If you use Submit Your Article’s Article Leverage system this allows you to create multiple unique versions with as little effort as possible. Note that these are not spammy horrible spun versions of your article, these are perfectly logical, readable versions as they are controlled by you. When you use the article leverage system you simply add some alternative versions of your:

• Article Title
• Opening Paragraph
• Sentences or paragraphs throughout the article
• Resource boxes

The article leverage system will then randomly interchange the original versions with the alternative versions each time an article is submitted. This in turn will increase the number of indexed backlinks you end up with, compared with submitting an unchanged article.

In the screenshot above you can see that I have entered some alternative titles for my online dating article. In the next screenshot you will see that you have the option to enter alternative opening paragraphs.

The next step is to enter a number of alternative options for sentences or paragraphs within the article. I prefer to use the sentences and try to aim to enter alternative text for at least 5 of these.

Finally, once you’ve entered your sentence variations, the last step is to enter alternative resource boxes. once you’ve  done this your final article will be displayed and you can click the “View new Article Variation” button to see a few examples of how your article will look. This is also useful if you want to post  unique version of the article to your website or blog.

How Much is It?

The Submit  Your Article service costs $47 per month. Whether or not the price is worth it to you is really dependent on how many articles you submit a month and how much time you will be saving. As someone who usually submits 10 or more articles per month I find that this is well worth the money as I am saving many hours of my time. There is no minimum membership length, which means that you can try it for a month and if you don’t like it there is no obligation to stay any longer.

What are the Results Like?

Usually I’ll get an article approved and submission will start after around 24 hours or so. I’ve tracked unique phrases in my article a number of times to work out how many backlinks I receive per article and when I use Article Leverage, the number of backlinks per article is usually settles at between 40 and 50 after one month. If I don’t use the article leverage function it is usually around 10-15 backlinks per article.

At the moment my home business website is on page one of Google for many keywords including home business ideas, internet business ideas, online business ideas, top internet business, internet marketing  guide, legitimate home business and hundreds more. This SEO website is on page one of Google for SEO EBook, Higher Search Engine Ranking, Improve Search Engine Ranking, free SEO course and many more. This is pretty much down to consistent article marketing, using the Submit Your Article service.

The Verdict

Overall this is my #1 recomended solution for article distribution due to its wide distribution network, ease of use and powerful leverage system. I’ve used this for a few years now and based on my excellent results I’ve no intention of stopping!

IMPORTANT UPDATE/WARNING (October 2010): This Burn your to do list review was originally written back in August and at that time, this company was working very well and producing great results for me.  HOWEVER... recently the company was taken over by new owners and the standards have deteriorated rapidly in the last few weeks. Currenly I am waiting for all my October tasks to be completed,  I have helpdesk tickets/tasks that have been closed in the unfinished state or just not answered at all, my monthly credits were reduced with no explanation and they have not paid me any affiliate commissions for the last couple of months. Outsourcing is a great if you don’t have a lot of time to promote your website and need some help to do this, or if you have multiple websites and can’t give them all your full attention. It’s also great if you simply don’t like or are not good at things like article writing, submission and backlink building.

Personally I fall into pretty much all of these categories! I have almost 20 websites and blogs, so unless I clone myself, there is no chance that I would have time to promote all of these. I also get bored of link building and procrastinate about writing articles. If you are like me, you may want to outsource link building.

I’ve been using a company called Burn Your To Do List now for just over 4 months (since April 2010) and I’ve been quite pleased with the service overall and found them very affordable, so thought I would write a quick review of Burn Your To Do List to help anyone who is considering outsourcing link building or other aspects of marketing their site.

Review of Burn Your To Do List

What is it?

Burn Your To Do List is an outsourcing company that has a number of different staff members who are skilled in different areas inlcuding article writing, press release writing, directory submission, article submission, social bookmarking, backlinking (including Angela’s backlink packets), blog maintenance, video creation and more. You sign up to a monthly credit plan, starting from 10 credits for $75 per month and you can spend these credits on any service you like. The credit costs are very reasonable and you can get an article written for 1 credit, a packet of Angela’s backlinks for 1 credit, 30 blog comments for 1 credit and so on.

How Does it Work?

Whenever you want something done you submit a ticket to their helpdesk with the details of your job. Once the job is complete (usually within a few days) you receive notification that it is ready, along with the work you requested e.g the article, or a spreadsheet of the links that were created for you. If you have any spare credits at the end of the month, these roll over to the next month.

What is the Quality Like?

I waited a few months to write this review as I wanted to test out as many services as possible. I have ordered a few articles and found them all to be of excellent standard, with perfect grammar and spelling. I’ve also had a few of Angela’s backlink packets completed, some blog commenting, article submission, directory submission and various social marketing tasks.  In the majority of cases I was very happy with the work. On a couple of occassions I had problems e.g. my resource box wasn’t formatted correctly on one of my article submissions and on another submission my website link with anchor text wasn’t created properly. On these two occassions I raised a ticket on their helpdesk to complain and I was refunded the credits and the work was done again for me. Apart from these two instances, overall the standard has been very high.

How Long Does Each Task Take?

In general my tasks have been completed in some cases within 24 hours and in other cases within 2-3 days. When I first joined there were a few teething problems and some tasks were taking a week or so, but recently the turnaround time has been a lot quicker.

What Does it Cost?

The current costs are all based on monthly plans. $75 a month for 10 credits, $200 a month for 30 credits and $300 a month for 50 credits. There is no minimum signup period, so you can cancel whenever you wish. The method of payment is Paypal so you are in complete control of your subscription. One thing I like is that they carry over unused credits to the next month, so if you don’t get round to using all your credits for a given month you don’t lose them.

The Verdict?

Not recommended due to recent changes in ownership and deterioration in service (see my comment about this at the top)

Is it Easy to Use?

I tried it for the first time today and was able to write a 556 word article in less than 7 minutes. Not bad since that would normally take me at least 30 minutes (or more if I am in an unproductive mood!)

You basically just choose a template and then fill in the blanks within the template. Once you have done this click on the “create article” button and your article will then be created.

I’ve had to squash down the screenshot to fit it in, but hopefully you can see from this the template sentences and the sentences that I have typed in. You can get a better picture of how it works if you watch the video.

Are the Articles High Quality?

The article that the tool created me was very good quality and there were no problems with grammar. I spent around a minute changing a few sentences here and there to get the article just the way I liked it, but I could have easily gone ahead and submitted it to the article directories without any changes.

Is Support Provided?

There is a support forum where you can ask questions and discuss Instant Article Factory. There is also a dedicated helpdesk.

Are there any Disadvantages of Instant Article Factory?

So far from using this tool I have not come across any major disadvantages. Sometimes I find I do not like some of the sentences in the template e.g. they do not fit the topic of my article. For this reason I have been spending a minute or so reviewing the finished article and changing a sentence here and there.

There is a yearly fee for this tool, so if you do like it and want to continue using it there will be a fee every year.

Advantages of Instant Article Factory

The main advantages of this tool are:

• Makes writing articles much easier and quicker, cutting down your time by around 75% or so.

It runs on Windows and allows you to type in a root keyword. It then goes away and uses search suggestion information from Google, Yahoo and Bing to create a huge keyword list ordered by popularity.

Keyword Snatcher will return keyword data from a choice of 31 different countries. It also allows you to export the keywords into a spreadsheet or a text file and there is a niche research facility to help you find new niche ideas.

Who would use this tool?

You’ll find this tool useful if you

• Have your own website or blog
• Want to improve your search engine rankings

Installing Keyword Snatcher

It is a straightforward 2 click install. Download the setup file to your computer, double click on it and then enter your registration key. Once you’ve done that, you are up and running. It will only run on Windows, so if you are a Mac user, you’ll need a Windows Emulator on your Mac.

Comparison of Keyword Snatcher to Other Popular Keyword Tools

Prior to downloading this software I have used two main tools for my keyword research – the Google Adwords keyword tool (free) and Wordtracker (paid). If I compare Keyword Snatcher with these two tools I would say that it is superior to the Adwords tool as it returns A LOT MORE keywords. For example if I type in “Internet Business” into the Google Adwords tool while I am logged in it gives me a total of 188 keyword phrases (exact match) that contain the words “internet business”. Keyword Snatcher returns a total of 902 phrases! This means that there is a lot that the Google tool is not telling us!

WordTracker is capable of returning more keyword phrases than Google, but it does take a lot of clicks and “digs” to get to such a high number AND they charge a recurring subscription fee.

So in summary, the advantage of Keyword Snatcher compared to these two tools is that it returns a lot more keywords, with very little work required on your part AND there is no recurring fee.

Pros and Cons of Keyword Snatcher:

Negative Points:

• You can’t minimize or do anything else on your computer while using this tool, which can be a bit annoying if you are busy. – Update 24th June – this has now been fixed!
• Only available until Friday 25th June
• No competition figures

Positive Points

• Very simple to install and use
• No special knowledge required to use it – just type in a couple of words and you are off
• Capable of generating a very large list of keyword phrases (more than any other tool I have used)
• No recurring subscription fees

Overall, I highly recommend Keyword Snatcher for its great feature set, ease of use and very reasonable $47 price.

This is my review of Miracle Traffic Bot…

Before I purchased this software I had a look around for other Miracle Traffic Bot Reviews. As I read these reviews I had the sneaking suspicion that a lot of people reviewing this product hadn’t actually bought it. There wasn’t much meat to these reviews – only things that you could probably work out by reading the sales copy!

I hope you will find this review to be different – it is written by someone who has actually bought and used this software. My aim is to give you enough information to help you decide whether or not this the product for you. The review contains criticisms of the software as well as outlining the benefits.

What is It? – In a nutshell Miracle Traffic Bot is software that allows you to automatically:

- submit your articles to article directories

- submit web pages to social bookmarking sites

- submit videos to video sites.

To get your money’s worth from this product you really need to have your own website or blog and be interested in increasing traffic.

How Much is it? – The current launch price is $77. The regular price is $297, but it is not totally clear when the price will move back up again.  There is also a special offer to subscribe to a membership called “Miracle Traffic Bot” premium membership at no cost for your first month. I took this option to have a look at it. The good thing is, the membership subscription is via Clickbank so it is really easy to cancel (I am wary about putting subscriptions on my credit card as certain companies can be notoriously difficult to contact and cancel, but thankfully Clickbank makes it very easy)

Sales Process – It is pretty quick and easy to purchase Miracle Traffic Bot. The only annoying thing (apart from the lady in the video) is that you get 3 One Time Offers after purchase. Personally I always feel that one is enough, but I clicked the no thankyou box with relative ease and within a few minutes I had my download links.

Download – You need to ensure you have a PDF reader, Adobe Flash and software to unzip your files. These are all free and there are download links to these in the download area. The download was quick and easy. I have a broadband connection and it took a few seconds to download and extract the files.

Installation – The installation was easy – just extracted the zip file and double clicked on the installer. It took less than a minute to install (on my Windows Vista PC). Once installed (no restart required) I opened the software and entered my email address to register the purchase.

The Software – The software works on Windows so if you have a Mac, you will only be able to use this if you are running Windows Emulation software. When you open the software there are three tabs – one for article submission, one for social bookmarking and one for video submission. There are four videos inside the members area – one that explains how to register with the article directories and another 3 that explain the video, social bookmarking and article submission functions.  Being lazy, I didn’t watch the videos  – it’s pretty easy to work out how to use the software once you have logged in.

Article Submission Software- The first thing you need to do is save your username and password for each of the article directories. This is the most time consuming part, but you only need to do it once. You may already have logins for these directories so this will speed things up. This will probably take you around 10 minutes if you already have logins to these sites, or around an hour or so if you don’t.

There are 10 article directories including ArticleCat.com, ArticleLocker.com, ArticleDashboard.com, IdeaMarketers.com, ArticleAlley.com, ArticleCity.com,  ArticleDirectory.com, ArticleCube.com, Amazines.com and ArticleRich.com. These range from page rank 0 up to page rank 5.

As a test I entered an article (see the screenshot above) and submitted it to all the directories. The software worked at lightning speed and had submitted to all the directories within one minute. Two of the article submissions failed, but these were left checked and I discovered that one of the failures was due to wrong login info, so I corrected this and submitted again for this one. I am not sure about the other failure.

Overall I was impressed, but it would have been good to see the reason for the failure of the one directory that I couldn’t submit to.

Social Bookmarking Software – The social bookmarking tool is very similar to the article submission. You start by adding your login details for the websites – there are 10 bookmarking sites including Propeller.com, JumpTags.com, Quadriot.com, Mister-Wong.com, BuddyMarks.com, Connotea.org, Sitesays.com, Delicious.com, Digg.com and Mixx.com. Again it will take you 10 minutes or so if you already have an account with these or around an hour if you don’t.

Once you have registered it is just a case of adding your URL, Title, Tags and a description and then hitting the submit button. The submission

It’s pretty quick, taking less than 1 minute again, but you can get the same functionality for free at Onlywire, so I think they really need to add more sites to be effective.

There is also video submission software. I have not tried this yet, but it submits to 10 video websites in exactly the same way as the social bookmarking and article submission tools.

Pros – The software is very lightweight, simple and very newbie friendly. I am pretty sure anyone could use this due to its simplicity.  It does what it says on the tin, which is to build backlinks quickly and automatically.

Cons – I am a little underwhelmed at the number of sites in there. There are a total of 10 sites each for the article, social bookmarking and video submission.  I think for this price, there should have been at least double that many sites.

Verdict – A slick piece of software that is easy to use and very quick. After you’ve written an article it will take you just 1-2 minutes to submit it to 10 directories, which will save a lot of time. BUT.. the glaring hole in the product is the low number of of directories to submit to – if it wasn’t for the lack of directories I would be recommending this product, but for this reason, I do not think it is worth the money. I personally prefer  SubmitYourArticle and OnlyWire to this software. SubmitYourArticle is more expensive with its monthly fee so if you are on a budget you may be better Miracle Traffic Bot, since it just has a one-time fee. But if you want a software submitter with a larger number of directories, you’d be worth paying a little bit extra and going for Article Post Robot instead.
